Zephyr PSM: Getting your team game ready… and beyond
The Zephyr ™ Physiological Status Monitoring (PSM) Training ECHO system is a single solution that measures, streams and logs a wide variety of physiological data. This can be on up to 50 athletes simultaneously and over an astonishing 1000 foot line of sight range. (with no dead zones). With PSM Training ECHO, coaches can train their athletes to their peaks. This makes it possible to achieve consistent, maximum performance from a team by eliminating individual under and over training. PSM Training supports GPS data logging compatible with FalconView and Google Earth providing speed, distance and elevation information.

From the Leader in Physiological Monitoring
It’s easy. Your athletes wear Zephyr™ BioHarness™ straps or shirts equipped with a state-of-the-art sensor. This sensor records human performance data in near real time and transfers it to an easy-to-interpret and customizable software package. This generates coherent sports science data that can inform training and influence game-day decisions.
The Zephyr PSM System is available in multiple garment options, including with an adjustable strap and in compression or loose-fit shirts. A wide range of sizes is offered and all are machine washable.
PSM Training ECHO Applications
PSM Training ECHO gives coaches a look “inside” the athlete. Configurable thresholds and real-time monitoring allows management of training intensity for each athlete.
Live measurement includes heart rate, HRV, heart rate recovery, breathing rate, accelerometry, intensity & load and estimated core temperature. This is without pills or probes. Streaming live data allows real-time insight into the potential of heat stress, fatigue and dehydration. The system allows the coach to design practice drills and exercise regimes that will train each athlete, and the team as a whole, to their peaks, ensuring the highest level of performance per unit of effort. Other applications include the health market, rehabilitation and more.
PSM Training ECHO Advantage
PSM Training ECHO generates customizable, detailed reports and analysis of individual and team progress – including trend analysis of individuals over multiple sessions or sub sessions.
Comparisons between individuals can be created quickly and easily. Share reports with other coaches and use them to fine tune practice drills and exercise regimes to achieve individual and team goals. GPS data is for on and off field applications required to improve human performance.
Zephyr Connectivity to Radios
Many tactical radios are supported where the BioHarness can transmit data over the same channel an operator is already using for voice communication. The BioHarness communicates Zephyr’s proprietary Radio Interface devices, RID, using Zephyr’s secure Bluetooth. On tactical radio’s such as Thales MBITR, JEM, and Trellisware these Zephyr RIDs use the side data port allowing voice through the top port. The Motorola XTS radio series uses the side connector for both voice and data, and these Zephyr supplies a Radio Interface Device, RID, with in built secure Bluetooth and pass through voice, the radio connector is mirrored on the outside of the RID allowing any remote speaker to attach, hassle free.
The BioHarness™ transmits the physiological status information by using a secure Bluetooth protocol to existing tactical radios. The tactical radios send the data over the longer distance back to a monitoring station where it is displayed on Zephyr’s OmniSense™ software. The transmission distance is dependent on the radio system used.

In all applications, voice communication is given priority over the physiological data. This approach also means that Zephyr’s PSM Responder and PSM Defense solutions use existing radio infrastructure already in use by First Responders and Military teams.
